Viscometer Calibration
The calibration of a glass capillary viscometer is defined as the process during which, the constant of an individual tube is determined. In the laboratory at Poulten Selfe & Lee, the viscometer tubes are calibrated directly against reference viscometers. The calibration is therefore only one step away from the reference value.
The calibration laboratory at Poulten Selfe & Lee Ltd is accredited to ISO 17025 and is subject to an annual audit by United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). If you choose to purchase uncalibrated viscometers from us, you will need to calibrate them, before they can be used. We will be pleased to supply viscosity reference oils for this purpose. Please contact us on sales@psl-rheotek.com for assistance with choosing the right standards for the work.
