Do the prices listed include VAT?
All prices in our webshop are listed exclusive of VAT. GB VAT at 20% will be added during the check out process for customers based in the United Kingdom.

Is it safe to send glass viscometers by courier?
Every single parcel is carefully packed by our experienced team. We ship glass viscometers to anywhere in the world every working day of the year. On average we have 1-2 breakages per calendar year.
I'm a private individual, can I still buy from you?
Yes, we can supply private individuals subject to our terms and conditions.
Can I open a credit account with you?
Opening a credit account with us is possible. Please reach out to our customer services team to request a credit application form. Approval of credit terms is subject to individual assessment by our finance department.
I would like to negotiate a discount on my purchase, what do I do?
Discounts are available for larger purchases and for resellers. Typically you will need to purchase 5+ pcs of an individual part code to qualify for a discount. What is viscosity?
Viscosity measures a fluid's resistance to flow. Kinematic viscosity (cSt) is the ratio of dynamic viscosity to density and is measured using glass capillary viscometers in thermostatic baths (e.g., per ASTM D445).
Why is temperature stability critical?
A ±0.01 °C bath stability ensures reproducible viscosity readings. Even minor temperature variations can lead to significant viscosity deviations.
What calibration standards are used?
We use certified viscosity standards (e.g., ISO 17025 oils) traceable to the primary reference for kinematic viscosity held in our own calibration laboratory. Calibration meets ASTM D2162 and ISO/EN benchmarks with documented uncertainty.
How does automation improve testing?
Automated systems (e.g., optical detection, AKV set-ups) eliminate manual timing errors, increase throughput, and generate digital datasets. Fully automated Ubbelohde detection provides high quality data.
Do you provide training and support?
Yes. Options include onsite training, online based training, SOP development, troubleshooting, and software integration with LIMS or proprietory data handling system.
