- Chemical resistant tubing & connectors
- Solvent container
Using the iSP-1, the delicate precision work of generating a polymer solution is automated.
Configured for your test protocol
The software is configured for the sample in hand. Based on the size of the vial in use and the target concentration for the test protocol, the software produces instructions for the operator. A weight range for the quantity of sample required is defined and this is displayed as a green bar in the user interface.
When the operator has added enough polymer to vial for the weight to be inside the green bar (tolerance band), the software returns the message "sample successful."
Automates precision work
At this point, the PSL-Rheotek software calculates how much solvent is needed for the specific sample to reach the target concentration. This quantity of solvent is then automatically dispensed by the syringe pump directly into the vial. The solvent goes through a PTFE tube and is dispensed via a needle fitted in the lid of the balance.
Weight to weight data on low concentrations
On competion of the dispensing process, the balance weighs the vial again. This data is then used for the calculation the concentration for purposes of the result.
Uses weight to weight data rather than weight to volume data to calculate concentration – avoids errors due to temperature/density.
Built-in safety checks. Ash and moisture correction possible. Uses audio prompts to talk the operator through the essential preparation steps. Pre-programmed methods make preparation simple and straightforward
